This genuine late 19th / early 20th-century antique cast iron sad iron (flat iron) was manufactured by the renowned Crane Foundry in Wolverhampton, England.
This solid iron features beautifully crisp, raised embossed lettering displaying "CRANE" and the size/weight marker "6" on the top plate. It features a historic tubular handle and retains an exceptional rustic dark patina with honest, minor wear consistent with its age. Perfect as a statement piece for farmhouse decor, a heavy bookend, a functional vintage doorstop, or a unique addition to an antique metalware collection.
