A 100% genuine late-19th-century Victorian cast iron fireside "water fountain" manufactured by the legendary Archibald Kenrick & Sons foundry in West Bromwich, England. Established in 1791, Kenrick was one of the premier manufacturers of premium-grade cast iron kitchen wares.
This heavy-duty historic piece features the distinct markings "3 to 4" on the dome-lidded top. It comes complete with its original heavy swinging bail handle, an integrated open-hearth hanging hook, and its original long-reach brass spigot tap. Historically used by colonial and pioneer families to maintain a constant supply of boiling water over an open fireplace, it sits beautifully on display.
The body features an excellent authentic patina with completely solid ironwork and absolutely no cracks, splits, or structural holes. The interior displays typical historical surface scale and will require a basic clean if you wish to use it functionally; otherwise, it is an exceptional, quality display piece for country kitchens, fireplaces, or rustic garden decor.
