An authentic late-Victorian / Edwardian era commercial butcher's knife sharpening steel produced by the prestigious Southern & Richardson at the historic Don Cutlery Works in Sheffield, England.
This premium-grade trade tool features a highly defined, crisp, ribbed honing rod stamped clearly with the maker’s mark: "SOUTHERN & RICHARDSON / SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND". It is structurally complete, showcasing a beautiful turned bulbous timber handle with an integrated brass ferrule, signature hexagonal assembly collar, and top hanging ring used for belt scabbards or wall storage.
An exceptional piece of historic English kitchenalia, perfect for collectors of vintage tools, Sheffield blades, or traditional culinary equipment.
