A highly collectible, first-generation Buck 112 Ranger lockback folding knife, manufactured in the USA between late 1972 and early 1973.
This rare "Category 2" variant features the scarce three-line tang stamp with the experimental left-facing backslash (BUCK / 112 \ / U.S.A.), used briefly during the model's debut year to track internal engineering changes. It features its original contoured brass bolsters, visible brass handle pins, and beautifully striped premium Indonesian Macassar Ebony wood handle scales.
The high-grade vintage 440C steel clip-point blade retains an excellent edge, and the lockback mechanism is completely solid with a strong, crisp snap and no blade wobble. The brass displays an untouched, authentic aged patina.
