An authentic antique all-wooden barrel tap (spigot) manufactured by H. Gage in Melbourne. This piece features a crisp, clear stamped oval maker's mark on one side and a size "2" stamp on the reverse.

The tap is in excellent vintage structural condition with a beautiful natural aged wood patina. The wood remains entirely solid with no splits, deep cracks, or dry rot. The internal vertical plug valve mechanism pulls apart completely and smoothly, with a completely clear, unobstructed liquid intake channel.
