An original Australian Art Deco "Skyscraper" style glass light shade, dating from the 1930s to 1940s. This authentic period piece features a beautifully molded two-tone construction. It combines a ribbed opal matte cased-glass body with a clear, stepped prismatic geometric crystal crown.
Manufactured locally during the golden era of Australian deco glass, this design allows soft light to diffuse downwards. It projects striking, refracted geometric patterns onto the ceiling. The shade retains its clean fitter lip at the opening. It is ready to be paired with a standard metal gallery for installation as a pendant, flush ceiling batten fix, or lamp base restoration.
- Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Glass is clean with no major cracks or structural damage. Minor expected age wear or flea bites to the internal rim edge from historical mounting screws, completely hidden when housed in a gallery.
- Style: Skyscraper / Step-Empire / Jelly Mould.
- Origin: Authentic Australian Made.
