Antique 1920s Australian Railway Steel Bench Anvil Stamped HPC 4.25kg

Customer Rating :
$185.00
Qty
An antique 1920s bespoke bench anvil, handcrafted from a section of heavy-duty industrial railway steel. This piece features a distinct cold-stamping of the letters "HPC" across the central web, identifying its origin from historical New South Wales rail infrastructure or utility workshops.
The top running head has been ground, tapered, and shaped to form a classic horn for delicate metalwork, jewelry making, and flattening rivets. Both the working face and the bottom flange retain a dark natural patina with minimal surface pitting. The tool remains fully functional and serves as an authentic piece of Australian industrial history.
  • Age: Circa 1920s–1930s
  • Origin: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (NSW Railways)
  • Condition: Structurally sound. Flat working surface, clean horn geometry, and crisp lettering on the focal side.
