Authentic Victorian-era black powder flask manufactured by James Dixon and Sons of Sheffield, England. The piece features a copper body decorated with an embossed basketweave and scrollwork medallion, paired with a solid brass collar and nozzle assembly.
The brass sleeve is stamped with the vertical DIXON and SONS maker mark and features a MADE IN ENGLAND provenance engraving. The mechanism includes an adjustable stepped telescope charger nozzle graduated for 2 1/4 and 2 1/2 drams and a functional spring-loaded cutoff lever. The flask is in excellent antique condition with a natural, unpolished patina, tight seams, and no structural damage.
