For sale is a highly collectible and remarkably well-preserved piece of Great War history: an authentic 1914-dated military Pioneer/Sapper tool extension handle.
Engineered for rugged field conditions at the outbreak of World War I, this heavy-duty hardwood extension handle locked into tactical wire cutters or specialized sapper equipment to give frontline engineering troops massive mechanical leverage over thick barbed wire or heavy defenses.
Key Features for Collectors:
  • 1914 Date Stamp: Deeply and cleanly struck production year adjacent to the metal collar.
  • Acceptance Markings: Features official military factory inspection stamps ("F G A" and an inspection symbol) cleanly pressed into the hardwood.
  • Frontline Character: The steel socket collar contains the original fractured wood fibers from where the connected tool head snapped off under heavy field operational stress.
  • Heavy Duty Build: Features a flush-fit flat iron striking butt cap to protect the handle base from splitting, paired with a precision-milled keyhole twist-lock socket sleeve.
A genuinely scarce, solid combat relic from the opening months of the Great War. Excellent addition to any vintage military tool or WW1 collection.
