An authentic antique Singer sewing machine accessory "Puzzle Box" (originally marketed as a "Style Box") from the late Victorian era. Designed by John M. Griest, this piece features an ingenious, multi-hinged rollout layout that unfolds completely flat into a four-panel accordion workspace.
Featuring its original rich purple/dark blue velvet lining and built-in antique nickel hardware hooks, this folding box makes for an exceptional, unique conversation piece to store and display rings, necklaces, and delicate jewelry items.

Good Antique Condition
  • Exterior: The quarter-sawn oak case displays a gorgeous aged patina and high-quality woodwork. The interlocking box/finger joints and dual wire hinges are robust and function smoothly. The original oval manufacturer patent stamp on the bottom panel is crisp and fully legible.
  • Interior: The velvet lining shows characterful aging and minor vintage wear.
  • Hardware: Retains several factory-installed internal brackets, alignment numbers, and a few vintage mechanical attachments (including a tucker foot and under-braider plate).
